Take These Easy Steps to Your New Home
At Oxford, we make the application process as quick, easy and smooth as possible. Once you find your new home, simply follow the steps below.
Step 1. Complete a rental application. You can do this directly online or you can download a copy by clicking on one of the links to the right.
Step 2. Provide employment verification. We welcome the following forms of employment verification: recent pay stub, employment letter on company letterhead, previous year’s Notice of Assessment or T4, and financial statements from an accountant or banking institution.
Step 3. Supply a landlord reference. Please have the name and phone number of your current landlord available. Our leasing team will call on your behalf for a reference.
Step 4. Perform a credit check. We can complete a credit check with either your social insurance number or current address with date of birth. Rest assured that your privacy is always protected. For more information on our Privacy Policy, click here.
Step 5. Submit a rental deposit. To secure your suite, we ask for a rental deposit. The amount is different depending on the province in which you live. In Ontario, this is your last month’s rent. In Quebec, this is $100 towards your first month’s rent. In Nova Scotia, this is 50% of your rent. Please contact your Leasing Consultant for more information.
Step 6. Sign your lease agreement. Once approved, your Leasing Consultant will go through the lease agreement with you in detail and arrange for your move-in.
