Rental living may be a new experience for some Oxford residents. Here are some useful hints and guidelines to help you enjoy apartment life to the fullest.
- Elevators for moving and deliveries must be booked in advance of use. Please contact your Resident Service Centre for details.
- If you have a maintenance request, you can call 310.maxx (2699) or log on to www.310maxx.com. Please indicate that we have permission to enter your suite.
- Most building amenities are free to use but some may require the payment of a booking fee and deposit. Contact your Resident Service Centre for more information on your specific property.
- Discourage others from following you in when entering the front door of the building.
- Report any malfunctioning doors or locks to 310.maxx or the Resident Service Centre.
- Drive slowly and carefully in parking areas and garages.
- Keep valuables (e.g., laptops, GPS, and access cards) out of sight in your vehicle.
- Use our well-lit pathways when traveling alone or at night. Stay alert!
- Ensure that children are supervised on property playgrounds, in pools and in recreation areas.
- Contact the Resident Service Centre if you have any other safety questions or concerns.
- Carefully water your plants. The water will drip onto balconies beneath you.
- Refrain from sweeping debris off the balcony. It will fall onto balconies below. Instead, use a dustpan to collect the debris for disposal inside.
- Do not install satellite dishes on the balcony railing or on the exterior of the building. It is a safety hazard and contravenes your lease agreement.
- Monitor your noise level on the balcony as sound travels easily outside.
- Barbeques are not permitted on balconies.
- Ensure that your pet is properly leashed in the common areas of the community. Please see your Resident Service Centre for information on “off-leash” areas in the neighbourhood.
- Be a good neighbour and always pick up after your pet.
- Train your pet to respect other residents’ boundaries and individual comfort levels.
- Make a habit of turning off all lights and electronics when leaving your home.
- Recycle at every available opportunity. Ask your Resident Manager where your property’s designated recycling area is.
- Monitor your thermostat to balance comfort and conservation.
- Report any malfunctioning appliances to us for repair.
- Only wash full loads of laundry or dishes.
- Walk more and drive less when you have all the conveniences around you!
