Who doesn't love going for a dip in a pool on a hot summer's day? Depending on whether your building has an indoor or outdoor pool facility, a daily swim gets you both the refreshment you need from the heat, and a good ounce of cardio as well.
A fun day at the pool or a swimming routine is a great way to get to know your fellow residents. Just remember to respect your neighbour, and keep the noise to a minimum so no one is disturbed while you enjoy! Remember that the pool is a shared amenity, and everyone enjoys swimming for different reasons. We want all of our residents to enjoy their time cooling down. We have a few guidelines at our properties that we ask our Residents to follow in order to keep a fun and safe environment for you all to enjoy!
You can be assured that we have taken safety precautions to ensure that you and your friendly are safe at all times. But remember, be pool safe and know your own limits. Use a personal floatation device (PFD), stick to the shallow end, and always swim with a buddy if you’re not a confident swimmer.
All pool facilities have the rules posted in the pool area, so be sure you thoroughly read through them first before taking the plunge. You can also ask your Resident Manager if you have any questions or concerns.
Here are a few simple rules to take note of before jumping in:
1. Obey posted pool times – While it might be tempting to sneak in for a dip before pool hours to get the place all to yourself, this can be very dangerous and costly. Pool times are important for many reasons – we have a scheduled maintenance plan that needs to be followed, we need to ensure staff is on hand for safety purposes, and to ensure that everyone is following the guidelines for keeping that pool as clean as can be!
2. Food and Drink - Please refrain from bringing any glassware or other breakable items down to the pool area. If you plan on making a day of it, try to bring a small cooler with some reusable plastic containers of non-alcoholic beverages that you can keep nearby. Food and drink are not allowed in the main pool area, so make sure you eat before or after you jump in.
